The owners we really friendly and helpful. The place is very outdated but we found it clean and comfortable. In fact the matress is better than my own. I am actually going to buy the same one. Breakfast was lovely and filling. All in all Yes old fashioned and dated but a really pleasant stay. The only real complaint would be the shower in the room didnt work very well.

This lovely property is under new ownership. A lovely couple run it and are very good cooks. My room was clean and the room had clean bedding, fresh towels, and a kettle with tea and coffee options. I am glad I stayed here and had a great sleep. I am leaving well-fed after two night’s stay. Very close to stores, too.

Stayed while walking hadrians wall, less than a mile from the trail so absolutely perfect. Room was clean and functional. The family who run the hotel were absolutely wonderful and Breakfast was amazing!

Elderly Chinese lady made it clear I wasn't welcome. Booked on booking.com, double room and breakfast. I was told only use one bed, no breakfast will be provided and could I leave before 7am!! She told me she isn't excepting guests, yet you can still book online for this place. I wouldn't call a hotel, more of a trip down memory lane, one you neither wanted or needed. Dated, tired rooms, noisy road outside. The place needs bulldozing down. You are better off sleeping in your car. To conclude, If you are happy to pay for an uncomfortable bed, a fear of being shouted at when you leave the room, no customer service, no heating, no sleep and a passion for cars passing just under your window every 6 seconds, this is the place for you.
