Closer to hand there are pubs, restaurants and other eateries nearby, along with entertainment options for evenings when you'd rather not venture far.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks provided, and free WiFi, with breakfast included to set you up for the day. Reception operates around the clock, and room service is available for anyone who prefers to stay put, whether after a long walk or a round of golf at a nearby course.

Booked Rosalind House for a weekend stay, as we were attending a wedding near Carlisle. Read through previous reviews, liked the location and closeness to the city centre, and the ability to park on a nearby street with a permit from the guest house. Our hosts Julie and her husband couldn't do enough for us, and happily gave advice as to what to do, where to eat in Carlisle, a city we have never visited before. Booked the Tyan room as its the biggest, and gave us a bit more room for a 3 night stay. Very comfy bed, large walk-in shower, bathroom had a large opening window as did the room too. Breakfasts were great! If returning to Carlisle I would be looking to book in here again!

A very comfortable, clean place to stay if you are visiting Carlisle. Short walk to the city centre, close to restaurants. Friendly and helpful hosts. Lots of info on Cumbrian culture. Fantastic food! Breakfast is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

What a delightful place to stay. Julie is so warm and welcoming, the rooms are fantastic with the extra thoughtful details. Breakfast was amazing with Julie’s homemade jam and scones. Very central location. I didn’t want to leave, highly recommend this 10/10 B&B
