I visited with my 7 yr old grandchild. It was easy to find with plenty of parking. She decided to do the main maze, but this was a bit too much for her. Some of the paths were unclear, but most were easy to follow. It was great to be able to get an affordable ice cream afterwards. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the games were nicely organised. The main maze is hard work for little people, but there is a small one too. We went 3 years ago and will definitely go back again. Well done to all staff. I would recommend visiting.

We have been visiting the Writtle maze for the past five years with our grandchildren. We love the challenge of the maze. And always enjoy a picnic , on one of the picnic benches , once we have found our way out . The children enjoy the free play area . And the coffee and ice creams are great also .

Absolutely incredible day out with the family. You get a detailed map, stickers to mark on a separate sheet as you find the relevant ones at the stops in the maze with really interesting facts mentioned there. I contacted the venue prior to ordering tickets to ask if the maze is open and got an immediate answer. No difference if you order online or on the arrival. I very polite and friendly member of staff welcomes you on arrival and explains everything about the maze. When you complete the maze and tasks on the sheet kids get the reward - Haribo pack and a sticker (a little thing, but very thoughtful). Very tidy place with plenty of free parking space, a playground for younger children, an area for picnic and a small cafe-kiosk offering ice cream and coffee at a reasonable price. I loved the idea of sunflowers rows before entering the maze - very colourful and pretty. Met Louise there who was extremely welcoming and she told us about spooky sessions starting at the end of October - this will be another great time and activity with the family. Highly recommend this place, perfect venue for a family time out in the fresh air.

Great fun for all the family. Worth the ticket price. 2 hours well spent with the grandchildren. Refreshments available or can take a picnic. Plenty of parking. Lovely helpful staff.
