About Travelodge Chester Central

Chester's old city walls, Roman remains and shopping streets are all within easy reach of St John Street, where Travelodge Chester Central makes a practical base for exploring them. The hotel sits close to the Amphitheatre and the pubs and restaurants of the centre, so there's little need for a car once you've arrived.

The hotel has 60 rooms across three floors, served by a lift, with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and tea and coffee making facilities provided as standard, plus accessible rooms for those who need them. Pets are welcome. There's no on-site parking, but chargeable parking is available a couple of minutes' walk away at the Pepper Street APCOA car park.

Staff are consistently helpful and the price is generally good value for a central Chester location, though some rooms can be noisy and the facilities are kept fairly basic. For food and drink, restaurants, bars and entertainment are all close by, and a golf course is within reach for those wanting to venture slightly further afield.

Very central hotel near to the inner city and clubs. We are here for our wedding weekend. I was impressed how clean and tidy everything is despite the bad reviews. The Service Team is so kind, helpfull and friendly. They were helping us out with storing our wedding cake in the fridge until we check out. Thanks a lot for everything! I can Not say something about the noise because we were in the Club oposite the hotel and as we came back at 1:30 it was quiet.

Get a room on the top floor to avoid it being too noisy from the club. We still needed to put the TV on to drown it out a bit but slept fine. No hand soap in the bathroom as lots of others have said on reviews. Overall a good stay in a great location. Just be wary of the noise from the club below! If you’re a light sleeper maybe avoid

Decent travelodge - not staffed all the time it seemed, but when we did meet staff they were warm and happy to help. The room was small but did the job, and the temperature in the room was easy to adjust. Overall had a good night's sleep, in a location ideal for exploring the city!

After a lovely day at Chester zoo ( fabulous place) We booked into our rooms at this Travel lodge. Standard rooms were expected for price and they are standard and small. Toilet was the first issue ... Kept filling up with water constantly so that was quite noisy. Chester isn't a place for families on a weekend evening and finding somewhere to eat with an 8 year old was tricky... Ended up getting a taxi out of Chester to a family pub as we couldn't use the car or you have to pay double car parking as no car park at hotel. On arrival back to hotel we were all very tired and looked forward to a good night's sleep... Unfortunately this didn't happen, we stayed in room 115 and the noise was terrible, music from the clubs but also maintenance going on at 11.30 pm hammering, drilling was just ridiculous. When you eventually fall asleep your woken early to the sound of the vacuum as the rooms are not sound proof in the slightest. We saw one staff member for the whole stay. Also be very careful when booking as it was till after I realised that they hadn't just charged me for a room at this hotel I also got charged for a room at their other hotel just down the road !! I've used the complaints form to contact them but I am yet to receive a reply. Not a family friendly hotel... It's a hen and stag hotel for people who want to party all night.
