What diners say
Came here for lunch on a Wednesday in late March with two friends. The potatoes in the tortilla were perfectly cooked. The menu is quite straightforward. There are a number of tapas, croquettes and other Spanish dishes. We didn't get drinks, but they have plenty of alcoholic options including agua de Valencia. Hayley who served us was polite and helpful in giving us some of her recommendations. She suggested a few more plates we could add and let us know what was popular as well as her personal favourites. Our total was £57.50. The price of food is even better if you book with The Fork as you get 50% off food. There is an optional 13.5% service charge added to the bill. Not much of an atmosphere during the weekday for lunch. They offer a bottomless brunch, which is probably quite popular on the weekend. Went for the bottomless brunch. It was a nice experience and we were surprisingly full. The good was good and our favourite croquetas were the ham ones and also the manchego ones. We would have liked a more authentic Agua de Valencia but apart from that, had a lovely lunch.

We booked the bottomless brunch and I really enjoyed it. Lovely croquetas and nice to see a place where you can have a Spanish vermouth and a gilda. I will definitely come back to try other food.

The food was great. I dubbed between giving a a rating of 4 or 5. A definite 5 in summer when you can sit outside. Maybe only a 4 in winter sitting inside because the acoustics are poor. One noisy table ruins the atmosphere. During our visit there was a group of elegantly dressed women that cackled like a hen party. That said, food is fantastic. Service too, as our waitress was really knowledgable about the menu and could advise on how much the order. I like the menu design. Unlike a lot of tapas bars, padron peppers are not the only option if you want veggies. Some creative non traditional items like tostadas. The cheapest bottle of house red was £38. I liked that food arrival was staggered. My companion, who is a stickler about food temperature, especially hates when multiple small sharing plates arrive at once so they have the opportunity to get cold. First to arrive was the perfect plain tortilla served at room temperature. Great texture. Potatoes still had some bite but egg mixture was still a little runny in the centre. Lovely caramelization on the onions. The cheese and spinach croquetas arrived next. I was surprised that they were the size of large marbles. Perfectly deep fried with no greasy mouth feel. Chilli spiked honey for dipping provided an interesting contrast. The toastadas were again perfectly deep fried without a hint of greasiness but shatteringly crisp. Dressed with chilli jam, and topped with chunks of rare seared steak, microgreens, pomegranate and alioli. My only criticism was that the beef was a little under seasoned - but that is something that can be fixed by asking for a salt shaker. The tostadas underscored the fact that the kitchen really knows what they are doing with a deep fat fryer. Ceps on toast were clean tasting and slightly acidic. Again I needed to add a little salt. A poached egg on top provided richness without the need for cloying creamy sauces. Our last dish was a salad with squash, giant butter beans, thin slices of radish, pickled red onion, and a parsley heavy dressing similar to a salsa verde.. Very good balance of flavours. Dinner was great, and I will be back. I will definitely visit when the weather is warm enough to sit outside, away from any rowdy tables.

Diners like this restaurant's delicious Spanish tapas, especially the croquettes, patatas bravas, and Spanish omelet. They also highlight the great atmosphere and the attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable staff.
