First time visiting shirt friends recommendation. Didn’t disappoint. Exquisite food and service reasonably priced. Beef roast and all accompaniments were just wonderful - particularly loved the roasted corn brûlée. The gravy was delicious and the complimentary mini yorkies were much appreciated (and devoured quickly!)Staff were also just wonderful. Cant wait to visit again. Highly recommended.

I fully recommend the Knife for a brilliant Sunday roast! Two of us visited having pre-booked (which is worth doing, as it was fairly busy). We ate in the back part of the restaurant closer to the kitchen, which was well laid out with partitions between the tables, creating a feel of more space. It was a bit warm in the back room, but that was no doubt due to the proximity to the kitchen. The service was excellent - very friendly - and I was impressed with the free nibbles (bread, mini Yorkshire puddings with gravy). The roast itself was brilliant too, with both the chicken and the pork being very tasty. I enjoyed the fact that the trimmings were served separately (as pictured). My only critique was that the roast potatoes weren’t the best I’ve had for a Sunday roast, but still fairly solid. Overall, well priced with generous portions and friendly service.

The roast was delicious! And the service and atmosphere was lovely. My family loved our Sunday lunch here, Thank you to Andrea who made us feel at home and was incredibly kind. Would recommend:)

Incredible service, the lady who served us was wonderful and really cared about her customers. She even gave us some complimentary food when we enquired about certain dishes so we could try for next time. The food was delicious and we left feeling satisfied and very full up! We will definitely return and highly recommend!
