Had my small registry office reception here with 12 people. It was a very hot day and Sophie was amazing, moving our table to a cooler area, keeping the cake in the fridge, amazing food which surpassed our expectations and such a nice atmosphere. The pub is also beautiful inside and outside and very accessible, we had a pram with us. 10/10 recommend, we will be back!! - thank you

Absolutely wonderful afternoon lunch spent in the “Secret Garden” of The Avalon yesterday afternoon. The garden was so peaceful and relaxing. You would never know you were in London! It was a really hot and sunny day but there were plenty of shady spots if you wanted to avoid the sun. The table service was spot on - very polite and helpful waiter who paid us just the right amount of attention, without bothering/ fussing. The food is absolutely delicious! Cooked to perfection and very reasonably priced. We had a 50% off voucher which made it even better value for money! We will definitely be back soon!

On Saturday we had our engagement party at The Avalon in The Courtyard and it was an amazing experience from start to finish! The whole day went perfectly, we were beyond happy with the food, service and how looked after we felt. The weather was warm and sunny and earlier in the day it was really easy for us to pop out to the garden to enjoy that sun but have a private base as The Courtyard for the party. A big shout out to both Sophie who coordinated the day for us and Imogen our server. Honestly our expectations for the day were exceeded massively. What we initially felt like was going to be a casual gathering at a pub just felt like so much more because of all the small details that made the day perfect and how stunning the venue is. Thank you so much!

I was there twice over summer. Drinking with colleagues... A bit loud. Dining with my son, nice dining saloon much more quieter. Helpful staff. Half price on Tuesdays for food!!
