Kids had an cracking good time here! They loved the playground and really loved a long walk through the grounds. There were loads of paid activities too but we just did the free stuff. The lake views are stunning. Highly recommend going here if you have young kids and need to entertain them for a morning or afternoon. Currently being renovated under new ownership so sadly the cafe was closed but the facilities were easy to get to/find and we're very clean. Parking was easy and cheap too.

It can only be described as an overpriced dump. The kids playground is brilliant. First week of summer half term and the ice cream/ coffee hut was shut with a poor mobile coffee van as a replacement, the cafe had a choice of 5 sandwiches all of which were egg. Crisps and chocolate bars the only other thing on offer. The hire boats were closed, the crazy golf, go kart track and archery looked like they hadn’t been functional for years . The grounds are all overgrown, the grass on a roundabout looks better, the gardens looked like that of an abandoned house, overall very disappointing and requires some serious overhaul.

Great space adjoining the Windermere Lake. It was January and house and activities were closed. Zip wire and other activities together with gardens and boat trips. Good place for all the family in the Summer.

Lovely place. Castle was closed but didn't matter, lovely grounds and beach and walks. Nice cafe. Nice views.
