Smithy House
Conwy
Betws-y-Coed sits at the gateway to Snowdonia, surrounded by river valleys, woodland and the Gwydir Forest. Smithy House occupies the ground and first floors of a converted Victorian smithy, a five-minute walk from the village centre but set back enough to feel secluded. The property sleeps four across two bedrooms: a kingsize and a twin, with a bathroom and separate toilet. Downstairs, the living room has a television and electric fire, while the kitchen-diner is equipped for cooking with a gas hob and electric oven, plus a washing machine if you need one.
Walking starts at the gate—paths lead up into the forest, around Llyn Elsi Lake, or along the river past St Michael's Church. The village itself is close enough for dinner out (a pub and restaurants are a few hundred yards away), and Zip World Fforest, with its treetop course and Fforest Coaster, is a short drive. Surf Snowdonia, an indoor wave facility, is similarly accessible. Children under five cannot be accommodated. Wi-Fi, electricity and towels are provided, and there is parking for one car on site. No smoking indoors.
