About Afon View

Breakfast and a bar on site set the tone at Afon View, a guest house on Holyhead Road in Betws-y-Coed where mornings start properly before a day out in the Conwy countryside. Drinks can also be brought to the room, and there's a garden with outdoor seating for anyone happy to sit a while and take in the mountain views.

The seven rooms are en-suite, with family rooms available and free WiFi throughout, and the house spans two floors. A kitchen and room service add flexibility, and free on-site parking and free bike storage make it a practical base whether you're arriving by car or on two wheels. Reception operates around the clock, so there's no fixed check-in window to work around.

Betws-y-Coed itself is well placed for walking and cycling, with golf, fishing, horse riding and watersports all within reach, plus pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby for evenings out. It suits guests wanting a comfortable, well-located stop rather than a lavish retreat.

My wife & I stayed here for 4 nights while exploring Snowdonia. Amazing place! Perfect location. The rooms were gorgeous. We also had a little fridge in ours which was great. Our room faced the main road but was very quiet & we slept with the the window open. I would definitely stay here again. Great step up & the owners take pride in their place.

The perfect base to explore beautiful Snowdonia. Booking and arrival was straightforward, Gid was welcoming and helpful in recommending places to eat, my room was warm, comfortable and cosy with a gorgeous view, and breakfast was delicious. The app was also a great addition - especially when in need of extra teabags and other supplies for the room. What more could you ask for? I’ll definitely be back! A definite 5⭐️ plus!

I would recommend this stay to everyone! What an amazing place. The hospitality shown by the owners was outstanding, with clear information sent ahead of our stay, which was useful throughout to refer to. My partner and I are vegan, and were well catered for. The vegan pancakes in particular were amazing. The room was beautiful, incredibly clean and relaxing.I can't wait to stay again!

I recommend 100%. We stayed here for a few days of vacation. The owners are super nice and competent people. They are happy to talk about nearby attractions and advise what to see or how to modify your plans to make it more interesting. It's nice to talk about various topics. They do it with passion and positive energy and you can feel it at every step. Breakfasts are very tasty, ordered via the form the day before, there are several options. The room is clean and cozy. Great place.
