Barn Cottage

St Mawgan is a quiet village with a pub, shop and tea room, positioned between Mawgan Porth Beach—a 25-minute walk away with surf facilities—and Newquay, 15 minutes by car. Barn Cottage is a converted barn sleeping six across three bedrooms: two with king beds, one with bunks. Downstairs there is a living and dining room with woodburner, a kitchen equipped for real cooking, and a separate shower room. Upstairs, the main bathroom has a bath with shower over. The whole place is yours alone.

A large lawned garden with patio faces the property, with barbecue and furniture included. You get private parking for three cars, a store for surfboards, wi-fi, and heating and logs covered in the rent. The essentials—bed linen and towels—are provided. Families are well catered for, with a highchair, stairgate and travel cot available. The area suits both those wanting beach time or water sports and those preferring to explore further afield: Padstow and Rick Stein's restaurant are 15 minutes away, and the Eden Project, Newquay Zoo, golf courses and coastal walks are all within reach. Smoking is not permitted.
