Farm Cottage

A wooded valley four miles from St Ives holds Farm Cottage, one of four granite buildings arranged around a courtyard on Chypons Farm. The 300-year-old cottage sits on the edge of a village where a pub is half a mile away and a shop a mile, with the coast and beaches within reach in either direction. The property is yours alone, with parking for one car and space for a dog.

Downstairs, a living room with woodburner and television opens onto a dining room and kitchen equipped for cooking from scratch—oven, dishwasher, microwave and all the basics included. The main bedroom holds a kingsize bed with an ensuite shower room. Upstairs, a second bedroom with two single beds connects to a bathroom with bath and shower. Heating and initial logs for the fire come with the booking, as do bed linen, towels and wifi. Outside, gardens front and back offer sitting areas, furniture and a barbecue; there is a bike store and a stream 50 yards away that has no fencing.

The surrounding region works for exploring St Ives's galleries and restaurants, or driving to Penzance, Mousehole and Newlyn. Marazion and St Michael's Mount lie six and a half miles south. No smoking inside.
