Fern Cottage

Black Rock Beach is a short walk away, and the South West Coast Path starts on the doorstep—this converted ironstone barn puts you within easy reach of the Cornish coast without the fuss of a seaside town. Bude, with its shops and cafés, is four miles off. A pub serving local ales sits just 500 yards down the lane.

Fern Cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms: two doubles (one with an en-suite shower) and a twin, plus a family shower room with a walk-in rainfall shower. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, overlooking the valley, with a large table for gathering. An open-plan living space keeps everyone connected, and a utility room handles laundry and storage. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are included.

Outside, you share a rose garden courtyard with the neighbouring barn—peaceful for breakfast or an evening drink. A larger communal picnic area with benches and a barbecue offers views across the countryside. The beach at Widemouth Bay is dog-friendly, ideal for swimming and surfing. No smoking indoors.
