Thimble Cottage suits couples, small families and friends after a straightforward coastal break without fuss. The property is part of a converted barn group at Higher Widemouth Farm, in quiet countryside but with the shoreline within easy reach for spontaneous beach trips. One dog stays free, and a bridlepath from the cottage leads down to Black Rock Beach at Widemouth Bay, popular with dog walkers. Longer coastal routes, including the South West Coast Path, are accessible from here, and Bude town centre lies a few miles away with its cafés and shops.

Inside, ground-floor living is open-plan: kitchen, dining and sitting areas flow together, making it simple to cook, eat and relax in one space. A wood-burner and sofas mean you can settle in after a day outside. Upstairs, one double bedroom and one twin provide sleeping space, with a bathroom that has both bath and shower. Essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. A shared courtyard garden and larger communal picnic area offer outdoor space for the evening, with views across the valley.

The cottage is yours alone, and no smoking applies throughout. Check-in is after 16:00 and checkout before 10:00.
