Great Trevillian Farm Barns - Ash Tree Cottage

The north Cornwall coast around Crackington Haven draws visitors for dramatic cliffs and rock pools, though the real draw is what happens at low tide—a broad sweep of sand that holds some of the region's best surf. Inland by 5 miles, Great Trevillian Farm sits as a working sheep farm with its own carp lake, a children's play area, and resident Kune Kune pigs and ponies you can visit. Ash Tree Cottage is a converted stone barn here, detached and all on one level, with space to yourself.

The cottage contains a bedroom with a king bed, a bathroom with shower over the bath, and an open-plan living area that doubles as kitchen and dining space. A television and DVD player are available. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. Outside, an enclosed garden with patio and barbecue gives you a private spot, though a shared laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer is on the farm if you need it. One dog is welcome. Parking for one car is on site.

Nearby lie Widemouth Bay to the north, the tourist town of Bude beyond that, and westward the dramatic village of Boscastle in its steep coastal valley. Tintagel is 8 miles away. The working farm means you're never quite in pure countryside solitude, but that's also why there's something to do beyond the beach.
