The Stables is a standalone cottage on a working farm near Camelford, converted from a traditional stone building that overlooks a medieval cobbled yard. You get the whole place to yourself: two bedrooms (one with a four-poster double, one with two single beds), two bathrooms, a sitting room with an inglenook fireplace, and a dining kitchen equipped for proper cooking. The thick stone walls, original timbers and slate floors are original to the building; the central heating, electric cooker and modern bathroom fittings are not. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included.
Downstairs, a stone staircase with a horseshoe banister connects the main living space to the bedrooms above. The four-poster room has a Juliet balcony overlooking the patio and countryside beyond. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. There's private parking for two cars and a front garden with seating.
The North Cornwall coast is a short drive away—beaches at Crackington Haven, Widemouth Bay and Trebarwith Strand are within reach for swimming, rock pooling or surfing. Boscastle harbour is nearby. No smoking in the property.

We have just had a fantastic stay at Old Newham Farm Cottage and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, Chris made us feel incredibly welcome and was the perfect host throughout our stay. The cottage was immaculate, cosy, and exceptionally well equipped, with everything we needed for a relaxing break. It was lovely to come back each evening after exploring the stunning Cornish coast. We travelled with our two German Shepherds, and this was one of the most dog-friendly places we’ve stayed. They were made to feel just as welcome as we were, and there were plenty of great walks and open spaces nearby for them to enjoy. Being able to holiday somewhere so welcoming to larger dogs made all the difference. The location is ideal for exploring beautiful places such as Boscastle, Port Isaac, Tintagel, and the surrounding countryside, while still being wonderfully peaceful and quiet. A huge thank you to Chris for making our holiday so enjoyable. We would happily return and will definitely recommend Old Newham Farm Cottage to family and friends. Five stars in every respect!

This place is fantastic. It takes you back into traditional Cornish history. It has been very carefully renovated to keep its original character. Mary and Christopher make you feel at home in their Cornish Cottages. They make everyone feel happy and safe in the current COVID situation. We are definitely rebooking next year…or even sooner! (We are more than satisfied)

Cant recommend enough! Chris & Mary are so helpful and friendly, they have thought of everything. We stayed in Stables cottage, so charming and comfortable, set in beautiful quiet country surroundings. The cream tea was a lovely touch! We will definitely return!

We have been there (Nutmegs` )and had a nice stay 9 days long at easter 2013 even it was very cold for us the first two days. Many greetings to Chris and Mary!
