Fowey is a working harbour town where narrow streets wind down to the waterfront, lined with galleries, independent shops and restaurants. A Victorian building on The Esplanade houses Seascape, a ground-floor apartment with unobstructed views across the estuary to Polruan. There are six steps to the entrance, and your own parking space on site.
Inside are two bedrooms—one with a kingsize bed, one with two singles—a shower room, and an open living and kitchen area. The kitchen has what you need to cook proper meals: oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and a washer-dryer. A 43-inch TV, DVD player and Bluetooth speaker are in the living room. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are all included. Smoking is not permitted.
The location puts you on the South West Coastal Path, where the Hall Walk is a favourite route tracking the wooded estuary banks. Readymoney Cove beach is a short walk away. Local attractions include the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and several National Trust properties. Fowey itself draws sailors and sea-fishing enthusiasts, and boat trips leave regularly from the quay to spot marine wildlife or cross the bay.
