What visitors say

Long “LW” Walk

A truly wonderful place to visit. We went on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t overcrowded. It’s only about an hour’s drive from Glasgow. The café is spacious and serves proper meals, hot soup, and excellent coffee. The information centre is well laid out, with fascinating facts, a touch of history, and activities to keep children engaged. The park offers a variety of well‑marked walking trails for all abilities, surrounded by a beautiful forest rich with birds, wildlife, and plants.

It was not the best of days for our visit. It had dropped from over 20°C to a wet 15°C. The facilities inside the Lodge were great particularly for kids, like me. Plenty of interactive educational stuff. The café looked clean and tidy and the food prices were good. However, we didn't stay as we could not get a hot main course. The walks were all well marked. The zip slide by Go Ape looked good, and well received by all judging by the squeals. Even I was tempted but that thought soon passed. See video.

Found by chance on our vacation when we asked some fellow walkers where we could see red squirrel. No staff on site , we used cafe nice sandwich came with crisps and small side salad . Some bird feeders outside full of small birds great to see. We took the easy walk to the waterfall, then to the squirrel hide, we had it to ourselves and got to see red squirrel up close fantastic! Cheap parking.

Excellent visitor centre with stunning views from Lodge & Cafe just above Aberfoyle on the Dukes Pass rd amazing road and views . Four excellent walks with different scenery and routes . We did the white trail to waterfall very easy and good path and then followed the blue path up to the top of The Dukes Path at bit more steep in sections with rock step path in some sections.
