Bishop View

Bishop View is a self-contained first-floor apartment with everything needed for a week away. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking—gas oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave mean you can prepare anything from a simple supper to a full meal. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are provided, along with heating and electricity, so there are no hidden costs to manage.

The layout is straightforward: an open-plan living and dining area with a TV and DVD player, two bedrooms (one kingsize, one with twin singles) and a bathroom with bath and shower. A balcony overlooks the grounds. You have parking for two cars on site, and a garden to use—the setting includes a pond, which adds to the wildlife you might spot, though younger children will need watching near it. A cot is available if you ask.

Pets stay free, and smoking is not permitted. The village pub is within a mile's walk. The location puts you near Bassenthwaite Lake and surrounded by walking country, with Lords Seat and Whinlatter Forest close by.
