Fern Lodge - Burnside Park

Fern Lodge is a two-bedroom lodge in landscaped grounds at the foot of Latrigg and Skiddaw, just outside Keswick. Everything is on the ground floor, accessed by six steps to the entrance. The open-plan living space has a sitting area with TV, DVD and CD player, then a dining area with patio doors onto a terrace. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking—oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and coffee maker are all here.

One bedroom has a double bed (4ft 6in), the other two single beds (3ft each). There is one shower room with a cubicle shower. The lodge sleeps four. Essentials are covered: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. The site provides parking for two cars and a cot is available if needed. A pub is within a mile's walk.

The terrace has garden furniture and looks out towards the fells. Keswick town centre is within walking distance, though the lodge sits far enough back to feel separate from the bustle. The location suits anyone wanting to explore the Lake District on foot without being based in town.
