Skiddaw Grove Guest House

I recently stayed at Skiddaw Grove, in the Squirrel bank apartment, upon arrival I was greeted warmly by Diane, the accommodation was exceptionally clean, homely and welcoming with a fantastic view of Skiddaw. The kitchen had everything required plus a dishwasher and a washing machine in the bathroom. The lounge was large with very comfortable seating, a decent sized TV and an electric organ. The shower was excellent and my bed very comfortable. There is also an outdoor heated swimming pool. It was a lovely stay and I would certainly like to stay there again.

Stayed.here two nights for the 2019 Keswick Mountain Festival. Booked a twin room which i would say was very reasonably priced. The location is about a 15 minute walk into Keswick centre. It is in a very quiet location and has a good pub just around the corner. The walk into Keswick is lovely when heading through the park along the river. The B and B is clean and tidy and I never seen any obvious defects the en-suit was clean and spacious enough. The breakfast on the morning is well organised and well presented and the full English was enough to set you up for the day with a choice of poached, fried and scrambled eggs. Toast and cereal is sufficient. The owners seemed friendly and relaxed. We only seen them on check in and breakfast and had some nice conversation. The pool out the back is not a bad size and the garden was lovely which we would of made use of if we had more time. I’m currently planning attending 2020 KMF and will be staying here again as long as there’s a room. It’s what I was looking for and certainly met my expectations as a B and B in the Lakes.

Stayed here recently for a Spring weekend with a friend and our two 8 year olds. We arrived at dusk and the kids were in the pool within 5 minutes and had to be dragged out for bed. We stayed in the apartment which overlooks the pool and the very peaceful back garden and is a lovely spot for a couple of grown ups and a couple of little ones. The guest rooms looked fine too offering that typical Lakeland guest house decor. Really lovely hosts, a quiet location away from town and great views up Skiddaw. Will certainly be back. Thank you folks.

Nice, compact little appartment with heated pool and great views of Skiddaw. 10 min walk into town via the lovely Fitz park + very close pub doing nice food. Paths nearby leading straight to Skiddaw. Some traffic noise from the bypass but that's North Keswick for you.
