Glenmore Forest Park is a destination for walkers and outdoor types, and Glenmore Lodge sits on landscaped grounds within the park, a few minutes from Aviemore town. The cabin is single-storey throughout, built from pine logs with a terrace accessed through patio doors. Inside, everything is on one level: a living space with television and electric fire, a kitchen with electric oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher, and three bedrooms arranged as one double with an ensuite shower and two twin rooms. A second bathroom has a bath with shower over. Parking for three cars is on site.

Electricity, bed linen and towels are included. A cot and highchair are available to hire. The grounds contain streams and changes in level, so families with very young children should be aware. The setting means you're surrounded by forest and open space, yet Aviemore's pub, café and shop life is within walking distance or a short drive, and the wider Cairngorms are accessible for hiking, cycling and water sports. There are no smoking restrictions to observe.

Just did the summer mountain leader tng week at Glenmore Lodge. Very high quality tng, excellent instructors, all the staff there were really friendly and helpful, the kit loan system is excellent, the rooms are nice, the food is great and the bar was far too tempting a place to be! I can’t rate them too highly, totally recommend them.

Excellent comfortable B&b accommodation in an amazing location between the stunning Abernethy and Rothiemurchus forests of the Cairngorm National Park. Request a room in the more modern South Wing as the older accommodation blocks feel more dated and functional. Nice and helpful staff and friendly pub on site. The breakfast is generous if you are heading out for a big day of activity. The evening meals are healthy and delicious with good meat fish and vegetarian options. The food is better here than at most local restaurants you would drive to. Well worth a visit.

I have just stayed for the third time. I was with Paddle Scotland. It's warm and super friendly the rooms are spacious and practical, the drying room is a great bonus, the equipment hire is very good quality. The food was great and the kitchen staff were hard working, the bar prices were reasonable. I can't wait to revisit next year.

we stayed at one of their chalets while hiking in the area. the biggest perk is definitely the ideal location in the heart of Cairngorm national park with beautiful scenery wherever you look. however, there are a few things that I just cant leave out. the chalet was spacious for our small family, had its own patio and it was wonderfully quiet, but it was, and I hate to say this, somewhat neglected. there were cobwebs and dust in every corner, the bedsheets had hair from other people in many, many places (yikes), the oven didn't work (at all), the wifi almost never worked (and there was no phone signal to begin with), the shower was moldy in many places and the front door would only shut with great force (or it would open again with the next breeze, which made our first night slightly scary). we still enjoyed our stay. the park is gorgeous, the fridge worked, we drove to Aviemore for dinner every night and had drinks at the Glenmore Lodge main building after (which can be reached on foot from the chalets), but I wouldn't stay here again under these conditions.
