Families and groups of up to six will find James's Cottage a practical base for exploring the Lake District. The three bedrooms—one with a double bed, two with single bunks—sit upstairs alongside a bathroom with bath and shower. Downstairs, an open-plan living and dining space flows into a fully fitted kitchen, with a separate shower room tucked to the side. A cot and highchair are available if needed, and one dog is welcome to stay.

The cottage occupies Keswick's main street, 400 yards from the town's shops, pubs and restaurants. A rear courtyard with picnic table and chairs opens onto a shared drying green; there's a bike store and parking for one car. Wifi and heating are included, along with bed linen and towels. The kitchen has a full range of appliances—oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge and washer-dryer—so you can cook or keep things simple. A pub sits within a mile's walk, and fell views reach the bedrooms. No smoking inside.

Great place coming here again in August and will enjoy it 👍 10/10 but one of my visits was a 9 due to me buying a potato gun and accidentally shooting the neighbour

Lovely comfortable cottage with plush fittings and plenty of space. Located right in the centre of Keswick.

Very nicely finished interiors. Excellent beds, best night's sleep in a while. A bit expensive but right in the centre of Keswick! The shower in the downstairs bathroom is amazing.
