About Dunsford Guest House

Dunsford Guest House suits couples looking for a quiet, no-fuss base in Keswick rather than a lively family stop, given its adults-only policy and small scale of just four rooms. It sits within easy reach of Derwentwater and Theatre by the Lake, making it a practical choice for a short break built around walking, sightseeing or an evening show.

Rooms are traditional in style and come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks in the room, and free WiFi, with a choice of breakfast options to start the day. There's a 24 hour reception for flexible arrivals, outdoor seating to enjoy when the weather allows, and free on-site parking, which is a genuine convenience in a town where parking can be tricky.

Beyond the guest house, Keswick offers walking and cycling routes, golf, fishing and watersports nearby, along with pubs, restaurants and entertainment within easy distance. It's a straightforward, well-located spot for couples wanting to explore the Lake District without needing a large hotel around them.

Highly rated Bed and Breakfast - 10 out of 10. We stayed 2 nights in July to celebrate a birthday. We had a lovely welcome by Deb and Keith. We had a lovely bright front room. Nothing too much trouble for Deb and Keith. Breakfast was wonderful especially the array of fresh fruit. Nice touches in our room with fruit, sweets and a box of chocolates was left for us to celebrate my birthday. Lovely hospitality tray. We have stayed in Keswick many times but we have found 'a gem' in this bed and breakfast and we will definitely return for a longer stay.

This is a fantastic guest house in a location that’s hard to beat, literally a 5 minute walk to the centre of Keswick. Rooms were absolutely spotless and the hosts, Keith and Deb were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend 10 out of 10.

The minute you walk up the path to this b&b you are greeted with pretty flowers and comfy outdoor seating. Greeted by Deb and Keith you knew instantly that they are warm people. Our luggage was carried up to our room and given a brief run down about our stay. I have never seen a b&b so nicely decorated (loved the map of Lake District wallpaper) and so clean. The furniture was of good solid quality (so much so that we suffered a few stubbed toes on the bed🤣🤣) There is free car parking towards the rear of the property also on street parking which was a real bonus. Mountain views from our room window and very easy access to the town and some beautiful walks beside the river and the old railway line. Full English breakfast was freshly cooked each morning also with an abundance of fruit, yoghurts and cereals We highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Keswick. Thankyou so much Deb and Keith for making our stay so wonderful😀
