Monkwood Cottage spreads across three floors, opening into a ground-floor living and dining room with a woodburner and Freesat, leading through to a kitchen equipped with both a Rayburn and electric cooking, plus a breakfast area. The first floor holds a kingsize bedroom and a double, served by a bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and heated towel rail. Two further single bedrooms occupy the second floor; both have low headroom typical of attic rooms. The property sleeps four and comes with bed linen, towels, wifi and electricity included, along with initial fuel for the woodburner.

Outside, the cottage sits within private grounds with lawned gardens and direct access to woodland containing the river Calder, where fishing is available. There is an unfenced river in the grounds. A utility room houses a freezer, tumble dryer and washing machine. Parking for four cars is provided on site, and a bike store is available. The location offers easy reach to local pubs and shops while remaining within the Lake District National Park. The property accepts family and couple bookings only and is entirely non-smoking.
