Pitcairn Retreat- Pitcairn Cottage

Pitcairn Cottage is a stone cottage in the heart of Keswick's conservation area, on a quiet street a short walk from the town centre. Inside, you step straight into a living room with Smart TV, then through to a kitchen/dining space with electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer—everything you need to cook proper meals rather than make do. On the ground floor there's also a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with bath and shower over.

Upstairs, reached by a turning staircase, a second bedroom with double bed has its own en suite cubicle shower. The recent upgrade in March 2026 added that second bathroom, which means two people can get ready at the same time. An enclosed courtyard with garden furniture opens off the property. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. Parking is on road, and the cottage is non-smoking.

Keswick itself has two supermarkets within walking distance, along with independent shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants. The town centre sits beside Derwentwater, where you can walk the lakeside or hire a boat. For fell walking there are routes from the door—Catbells, Skiddaw and Latrigg are all accessible. The wider Lake District is on your doorstep; St Bees beach and Carlisle city are each under an hour away by car.
