Rose Patch Cottage

Cumberland

View on Google Maps

Keswick sits at the heart of the Lake District, and Rose Patch Cottage places you on its high street—a minute's walk from shops, restaurants and real ale pubs, with Lake Derwentwater within easy reach for evening strolls or boat trips. The town itself is a working market town as well as a visitor hub, so you get both atmosphere and convenience.

The cottage spreads across three floors with five bedrooms sleeping eleven: a kingsize with ensuite on the first floor, a second kingsize, a double, and upstairs a double with a single bed plus an ensuite, and another twin bedroom. Three bathrooms serve the property. The ground floor holds a living room with a 50-inch TV and gas fire, a separate dining room reached by four steps from the kitchen, and a kitchen equipped to cook for a crowd—range, dishwasher, microwave and separate laundry appliances included. Bed linen, towels, WiFi and heating are all provided. There's a gravelled front terrace with picnic benches, and parking permits for two cars in the public car park 80 yards away.

The layout suits families or groups gathering together. It's a no-smoking property. From here, the National Park's famous fell walks—Catbells, Maiden Moor, Grisedale Pike and others—are accessible by lake launch or on foot.
