Topsey Turvey is a converted stable cottage in the heart of Keswick, built from Lakeland stone. The name hints at its unusual design: bedrooms occupy the ground floor, while the living areas sit upstairs where they command views across the rooftops towards Causey Pike and Grisedale. You get two bedrooms—one with a double bed and ensuite shower, the other with a pair of single beds—plus a bathroom with bath and shower, and a full kitchen on the upper level alongside the main living room.
The ground floor also contains a utility room with washer-dryer, useful for longer stays. Bed linen and towels are provided. Heating and electricity are included in the rate. There is garage parking for one medium-sized car, and a permit for the nearby car park if you need additional space. A cot is available for younger children. The cottage does not permit smoking.
Keswick's centre is moments away, and a pub sits within a mile. The property works well for families or two couples seeking a quiet base in town without the noise of accommodation right on the main streets.
