Squirrel Nutkin is a refurbished two-bedroom home sleeping four, with one bathroom. You arrive into a ground-floor living and dining room with a 26-inch television and electric fire, opening onto a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and microwave mean you can prepare what you want rather than rely on takeaways. The two bedrooms are upstairs: one with a king bed and television, the other with three single beds, which works well for families or friends travelling together. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included; there is also a cot and highchair if you need them.

The enclosed rear garden and patio give you a private outdoor space, and you can park on site. One dog stays free. The setting is quiet but genuinely close to things: Keswick town centre—with its cafés, restaurants and outdoor shops—is a short walk through Fitz Park, which has a playground, tennis courts and a putting green. The cottage puts you within easy reach of walks up Latrigg and Skiddaw, the leisure pool and the adventure centre. No smoking indoors.
