Walking and cycling routes start from the back garden here; the Lake District's fell paths and woodland trails are within easy reach, and country pubs serving food dot the surrounding lanes. The Coach House is a detached cottage set on the owner's grounds in open countryside, with straightforward access to the kind of outdoor activities that draw people to this part of Cumberland.
Inside, the ground floor holds an open-plan living space with a woodburner, dining area and kitchen equipped for proper cooking. A sun room leads through to the main hallway. Two bedrooms are on the lower ground floor—one with a double bed, one with a single—and a walk-in shower serves the bathroom. Central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. There's private parking for one car and a bike store. No smoking is permitted; children under 6 are not accepted.
The elevated position affords views across Bassenthwaite Lake towards Skiddaw. The garden attracts wildlife including ospreys in spring, nuthatches, wagtails and red squirrels. This setup suits couples and small groups who want a comfortable base for exploring the fells and forests nearby.
