Porter's Lodge opens into a ground-floor living space with a woodburner, freeview television and DVD player, leading through to a dining room and kitchen equipped for self-catering. The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave and washer-dryer; a shower room completes this level. Upstairs, the bedroom contains a double bed and two singles, with electric heating throughout. Initial logs for the woodburner are provided, and there is private parking for one car.
What makes this Victorian railway lodge distinctive is its position immediately beside the Llangollen Heritage Steam Railway. A sitting-out area with garden furniture overlooks the restored platform, where you can watch heritage trains pass by—close enough to observe them in detail but far enough for peace and quiet. The property sits in Glyndyfrdwy, a village on the line between Llangollen and Corwen in the Dee Valley. A pub and restaurant are half a mile away, and the surrounding area offers walking, birdwatching and access to Snowdonia National Park, though the railway itself is the main draw. Wi-Fi, electricity and all bed linen are included. Smoking is not permitted.
