Matlock sits at the heart of accessible Peak District walking country. Hall Leys Park, with its boating lake and riverside paths along the Derwent, lies within easy reach on foot. Steam trains run from Matlock station to Rowsley, while Crich Tramway Village and the Heights of Abraham cable car are close enough for a day trip. The town itself has pubs, independent shops and cafés within a few minutes' walk.

Cotton Rooms is a first-floor apartment in a renovated building, sleeping three across two bedrooms: one double and one single. The open-plan living space has large windows, a dining area and a kitchen equipped with electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and fridge. A shower room serves the bedrooms. Essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are provided, along with heating and a welcome pack. On-road parking is available outside.

The layout suits couples, small families or solo travellers who want to cook or eat out with equal ease. There is one bathroom, and smoking is not permitted.

Lovely apartment. Location excellent perfect for getting around if you do not have a car. Everything you need, shops, restaurants, bars, beautiful park & buses within easy access. Apartment itself spotlessly clean, modern and perfectly stocked with cooking facilities etc. Lots of blankets and throws for comfort. Only improvement would be some storage for bedrooms. Adequate hanging and some baskets available but no drawers. Had initial problem with shower but remedied promptly. Also need Appliance booklets to assist with usage. All in all would thoroughly recommend.
