Upstairs is a bedroom with a super king bed and an ensuite shower. Downstairs, the open-plan living space has a Freeview TV, DVD player, DAB radio and an electric wood burner. Bed linen, towels, heating, electricity and wifi are all included. There is on-road parking with a permit for one car.

The cottage sits in Bakewell, a market town in the Derbyshire Dales with the River Wye running through its centre. A pub is less than a mile away, and a restaurant even closer. The town has independent shops, cafés and historic buildings; the market runs on Mondays, with a farmers market on the last Saturday of each month. From here you can walk to Ashford-in-the-Water and Rowsley, or follow the Monsal Trail through limestone countryside. Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House are both within 15 minutes' drive. The property does not permit smoking.
