The Derbyshire Dales around Bakewell draw walkers year-round. Monsal Trail cuts through the limestone landscape nearby; Castleton and Edale sit close by with their own network of paths and cave systems. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall are all within reach for a day out, and the town itself has independent shops, a riverside walk and the local speciality Bakewell pudding to seek out.
Oak Lea is a three-bedroom cottage that sleeps five, with one bathroom and a layout spread across two floors. Downstairs holds a living room with a smart TV, a dining room, and a kitchen fitted with an electric oven, gas hob and the usual appliances—you can cook properly here rather than making do. The utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs are three bedrooms: the first has a zip-and-link bed that converts from super-king to two singles on request, the second has two single beds, and the third a single bed. Bed linen and towels are included, as are heating, electricity and wifi throughout. A patio garden at the back provides outdoor space, and parking is on road.
One small dog can stay free. The cottage is non-smoking. Arrive after 15:00 and depart by 10:00.
