Wolfscote Cottage occupies the ground and first floors of a converted farm building, with a layout that separates the bedrooms below from the living space above. Downstairs holds a double bedroom, a bunk room, and a shower room. Upstairs is an open-plan arrangement combining living, dining and kitchen areas, with wooden floors and exposed beams. The cottage sleeps four and is yours alone—not shared with other guests.

The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with an electric oven, hob and microwave. Heating, electricity, bed linen and wifi are included. Outside, a patio and garden furniture face onto a grassed area that leads toward meadows and a wildlife pond on the farm's grounds. There is bike storage and parking for two cars. One well-behaved pet is welcome.

Wolfscote Grange Farm sits in the Dales with the River Dove and Dove Valley nearby. A farm trail crosses the property with access available on request—in spring, children can help feed lambs, and year-round the land attracts buzzards and hares. Hartington village with its pubs is a short walk away. The Tissington Trail is four miles off for cycling, Carsington Water for water sports is within reach, and Buxton and Chatsworth are easy drives. No smoking inside the cottage.

Was a lovely little shepherds hut.views were absolutely beautiful...there was no personal touch.. for the price we personally wouldn't go back to here again..but enjoyed the time we were there.

If you want authentic country cottage down narrow country lanes, surrounded by sheep and cows, then this is the place for you. Nothing is perfect but everything is comfortable and there is great walk down the river to the village.

Beautiful secluded location. Really experienced the Peak District here. Narrow, stoned walled roads up to the cottage with spectacular views at the top. The sun sets at the front of the cottages, set on a working farm so plenty of country sounds and views. Cosy, clean and well equipped cottage. Couldn’t fault the service, had a personal tour of the farm which was really interesting and informative. Walk down to the river was beautiful, just not ideal for anyone with mobility restrictions or prams. Peaceful at night with no noise, private and warm. 5/5 from us!

A superb place to stay! Cottage beautiful, clean and very well equipped. Kids loved it and had regular tours of the cows. A straightforward walk down to the River Dove & steady walk up to the trig point for beautiful views. An interesting drive up the lane, but it's all part of the charm. Owners are lovely and very hospitable. A wonderful week had by all. Every star well earned!
