About Naturally Glamping

Tucked into a peaceful corner of a working Devon farm, this off-grid gem offers a handful of well-spaced bell tents in a 2.5-acre meadow with lake views and woodland trails right on the doorstep. Despite the wonderfully remote feel, it's only 15 minutes from Newton Abbot and easily reached from the A380—no nerve-wracking country lanes required.

The bell tents themselves are thoughtfully kitted out with made-up double beds, fairy lights, bunting and lanterns, plus outdoor furniture and a firepit for starlit barbecues. A covered outdoor kitchen provides an oven, fridge-freezer and all the essentials, while a short stroll brings you to showers and loos. Solar power keeps things minimal but functional, and the lack of light pollution makes for spectacular stargazing—watch for glow worms and bats flitting overhead.

Wander over stepping stones to explore miles of forest trail (which leads all the way to the local pub), or meet the resident horses and alpacas. It's a true wildlife haven where you can canoe, cycle or simply soak up the scenery.

Stayed for 2 out of the 3 nights I'd booked as it was a bit cold and I didn't come prepared but for the price was happy to lose a night! Stayed in Zippy this time and Peggy last year. Simple bed and cute extra amenities like a cool box, marshmallows etc. Shower is decent and there's now 2 to choose from. Nice and warm. The track down to the site is steep but I managed it in an average BMW. Wheels spun a bit on the way up as its rear wheel drive but no dramas. Lovely, simple stay Bring layers! So cold this time of year at night. Would be nice if the fire pits were a bit closer to the tents

We had such an amazing time here with our 3 year old. We stayed in Zippy and had an amazing view across the pond. The tents are cosy and well equipped, with a nice little welcome basket including marshmallows - which went down well with our daughter. She also loved the fairy lights and bunting around the covered seating area, which were a lovely added touch. The toilets and showers are clean and fairly easily accessible. There is a washing up area and lovely, neat communal kitchen as well. We didn't need to use this much though as they provided a cool box in each tent, a small gas stove, and bbq area. The camping area is surrounded by tall trees and feels completely separate from the rest of the world, in the best way. It's amazingly relaxing. Laying in the tent first thing and listening to all the birds was amazing. We had car trouble whilst out, and the owners were very helpful and let us leave the car at the top of the hill so it could be collected. Without our large 4x4, getting up and down from the top carpark to the tent would definitely be a challenge, especially with a small child or wheelbarrow full of kit. The only thing to keep in mind with the location is that the bell tents are at the bottom of a steep track. This is well advertised though when you book and there are really clear parking instructions provided with your booking details. There are shepherd's huts near the top that would be a nice alternative for anyone who couldn't handle the walk. We will definitely be booking again - we had such a relaxing time - even with a broken down car!

Incredibly beautiful place. Thoughtful touches to make glamping comfortable. Difficult, accessibility-wise. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as the site is very hilly. We parked in the top car park (we tried the bottom one but driving up such a steep hill on gravel was terrifying), but it is a very steep walk up/down takes 5-10mins especially when laden with stuff. Nevertheless, we found the effort to get in & out of the site made it feel more special and secluded! We had a fantastic time.

We stayed in the bell tent “Matt” it was so spacious and comfortable. We loved the campsite, it is absolutely stunning down by the river. The kids loved paddling in it. They also loved the exciting roller coaster ride down the steep track! It’s a beautiful site with a very friendly vibe to it. Very dog friendly too. I would highly recommend this campsite to anyone who fancies camping with a little extra comfort. The toilets and showers were nice and clean too. The campsite is located in an ideal area to explore lots of good places. We ventured out everyday to various beaches, and even the aquarium in Plymouth one of the days which was amazing and only about 45 mins away.
