Olchard Lodge

Olchard Lodge works well for two people after a break away from home. This single-bedroom cabin sits on semi-rural ground near Newton Abbot, with the whole place to yourselves. Everything is on one floor: an open-plan living and dining area with a 50-inch Smart TV and wood burner, a kitchen fitted with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, coffee machine and wine cooler, plus a bedroom with a kingsize bed and a walk-in shower room. You park directly outside in your own space and enter through an oak stable door into the hallway.

The kitchen is equipped to cook proper meals. Sliding doors from the dining area open onto a patio with garden furniture, and a few steps beyond sits the private hot tub in a sheltered spot, tucked away from the main building. Initial logs for the wood burner are supplied; you can buy more locally or purchase additional supplies. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The property does not allow smoking. It suits couples looking for a quiet stay with outdoor space to themselves, and is close enough to Daisy Wheels and other local attractions if you want to venture out.
