Bryn Araul

Families and small groups will find Bryn Araul suits a quiet retreat among trees. The cottage holds two bedrooms—one double, one with singles—and one bathroom, sleeping four people comfortably. Pets are welcome. You have the whole property to yourselves, with private parking for two cars and an enclosed lawned garden where children can play safely. A shed contains a washing machine and tumble dryer, along with beach toys and sledges depending on the season.

The ground floor spreads across a living room with a woodburner, a separate dining room, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking: electric oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. Upstairs, the bedrooms are simply furnished. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, along with initial logs for the fire. You'll find a welcome pack on arrival, and there's an honesty-box wine larder if you want something to drink. The patio doors open from the dining room onto the garden, where you can sit outside or use the barbecue.

Bryn Araul sits within Eryri National Park, surrounded by woodland. The nearest beaches—Barmouth and Fairbourne—are a short drive away. The park itself offers mountain scenery, steam railways, local food producers and outdoor activities for all abilities. No smoking inside the cottage.
