A peaceful dairy-farm campsite on Dorset's Jurassic Coast, Ringstead Bay Camping occupies a historic field that once housed an American military establishment – original WWII bunkers and a lookout still dot the woodland-edged site. The two-and-a-half-acre meadow sits just five minutes' walk from dog-friendly Ringstead Bay, with its rockpools, reefs and calm waters ideal for paddleboarding or launching small boats. Coastal walkers can strike out along the South West Coast Path toward Durdle Door (under two hours) and Lulworth Cove beyond.
Facilities keep things simple but thoughtful: communal building The Armoury offers shared fridges, freezers and lockable device-charging points, while the toilet block provides showers and washing-up sinks. Campers can park beside their pitch and light raised fires. A dedicated off-leash dog exercise area saves legs when pups need a quick run. Down at the bay itself, a café-shop serves woodfired pizzas, breakfasts and camping basics, with a children's play area alongside.
The sheltered setting, accessed via private woodland track, offers glimpses of Weymouth Bay and Portland through the trees – a genuinely tranquil spot that ticks boxes for families, walkers and coast-lovers alike.

Absolutely divine. Went with friends and my daughter, and we had the most beautiful time. The campsite itself is beautifully kept without losing that natural Dorset charm. It felt safe, relaxed and genuinely restorative, the sort of place where you instantly slow down and breathe a little deeper. Facilities are discreet, and clean and tidy. Everyone friendly. A really family feel. One of those rare places that reminds you how lovely simple things can be. We’ll definitely be back.

Great family campsite. The showers and toilets were soo clean, staff were there all day checking they were always clean. 10 mins walk to reef cafe for ice creams and cold drinks, the beach was very sheltered. We had a great fish and chips from Stacey's fish and chips a 10mins drive away.

We’ve just left this beautiful spot & we’re over the moon! The location is perfect, a little 2 minute walk to the pebble beach through woodland, or 10 minute costal walk to a beach cafe in one direction & 15 minute walk to a pub on the other direction. Stunning views, very clean facilities & the lovely owner couldn’t do enough! We will definitely be returning. Thank you so much x

We stayed at Ringstead Camping with 3 children and it was absolutely magical. We stayed in the Bell Tents, which were huge (!) and the whole set up was very smooth. warm showers, hot water, mobile phone chargers and a wonderful location, just by the sea (5 minutes walk away) and the amazing Reef Cafe (10 minutes walk away) with delicious breakfast, coffee, pizzas and more. The location was idylic. Very spacious, lovely people and a wonderful lady called Emma who was in charge of the camp site - very friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend and will be coming back again!
