Parlour Cottage

Built as a working milk parlour, Parlour Cottage retains the character of its agricultural past while functioning as a comfortable base for a couple or small group. All rooms sit at ground level: a living and dining space with a smart TV, a kitchen with electric oven and gas hob for proper cooking, two bedrooms (one with a kingsize bed, one with two singles), and a shower room with walk-in cubicle. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and WiFi come as standard.

The cottage stands on its own grounds with parking for two cars and an enclosed garden where you can sit out and take in views across the surrounding farmland. Dorchester lies nearby—the town has museums, historic sites including Maiden Castle, and strong literary connections. From the doorstep, walking and cycling routes lead into the wider countryside: the Piddle Valley, Thorncombe Woods, and quieter villages like Cerne Abbas. No smoking indoors.
