Roselands is a ground-floor bungalow in Dorset with something unexpected: a restored 1897 London South Western Railway carriage adjoined to the main house. The layout puts you in the kitchen first, where a breakfast bar overlooks the rest of the space. Beyond that sits a dining room with seating for four, and a living room with an open fire and window seat looking onto the gardens. The carriage extension adds a second dining room, a boot room and a garden room – all accessible from the main house.
Two bedrooms sleep four: one double and one twin. There are two bathrooms plus a separate toilet. The kitchen has electric cooking, an Aga, microwave and fridge-freezer for self-catering. WiFi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, as is fuel for the open fire. The lawned gardens wrap around the property with views across farmland, and there's private parking for two cars. Books and board games are provided; television is available through internet streaming. One pet stays free. The property does not allow smoking.
Walking distance from Portesham Primary School, Roselands sits a few miles from the Jurassic Coast, putting the area's coastal paths and countryside within easy reach.
