Built in 1482, The Farmhouse is a thatched property that retains period character throughout. The ground floor centres on a substantial kitchen-diner with electric cooking and dishwasher, opening onto the garden via patio doors. The sitting room features original 15th-century flagstone flooring and a wood-burning stove set in an inglenook fireplace. A twin bedroom and shower room on this level suit anyone preferring not to use stairs. Four bedrooms upstairs each have their own bathroom with bath and shower, or cubicle shower where noted, giving the eight guests genuine privacy and choice.
The property sits within grounds that include an enclosed south-facing garden with seating and a gas barbecue. An indoor heated swimming pool on site can be reserved for private use if preferred. Electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included. One dog is welcome. Parking accommodates three cars. The coast lies a short distance away, and Sandford Stables is nearby for those with riding interests.
