About Dumfries Villa
Dumfries Villa occupies a Victorian townhouse a two-minute walk from the railway station and five minutes from the town centre, making it a natural choice for anyone arriving by train. Rooms are spacious and well maintained, with a ground-floor option available for guests who prefer not to use stairs.
A mature garden with seating gives the property some outdoor space rarely found this close to a station, and a lockable garage for bicycles and mountain bikes reflects a clear pitch to cyclists visiting the region's trail network. Breakfast runs to a full Scottish or English cooked option, and free parking is available for those who do arrive by car.
It suits visitors travelling by train, cyclists using Dumfries as a touring base, and anyone wanting a traditional, well-located guest house over a larger hotel.

What guests say
Cozy lil bed n brekkie for a comfortable stay in the lovely town of Dumfries. Colin the manager was very helpful and shared a lot of information. The view is of a beautiful church across the road. Hot water showers, towels and clean bedding. The building is old but well maintained and safe. Breakfast was grand and freshly prepared to order. Loved it.

We stayed here as we had to attend a funeral and the location was good for us and the service by Collin was very helpful and the breakfast was lovely. The only issue we have is the beds as the mattresses are very thin and can feel the hard base because of this, the toilet in room 4 was very small. Furthermore room 1 did also have some mould in the corners and dead bugs that hadn’t been cleaned up.

Stayed here last night (Sun 09/11) as I was at the Theatre Royal for a music event. Picked this place as it was only 10mins from the venue. And i wasn't disappointed. Room was really clean, bed was comfy and shower and bathroom spotless. Colin the host made me feel very welcome. I'd definitely come back here. Well recommended.

We stayed here for a wedding a few weeks back. Perfect location for staying in Dumfries with cosy comfortable rooms. Colin was a brilliant host to us all, and made sure we were all fed each morning with a varied breakfast menu! To add to this I had left something in our room after checking out and Colin was such a great help and posted this back to me which I am very grateful for. A genuinely lovely place to stay with great staff. Thank you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
