About Travelodge Dumfries

Dumfries Museum, forest trails and a nearby golf course make Travelodge Dumfries a practical base for exploring the area, with cycling and walking routes on the doorstep and a Starbucks close by for a coffee before heading out. Pubs, bars and restaurants sit within easy reach too, so evenings don't require a car once you've settled in.

The hotel itself is a straightforward budget option on the A75 at Annan Road, with 40 rooms across two floors, including accessible options and en-suite bathrooms throughout. Rooms are simple and kept clean, though some have been reported as a little tired, so this suits guests after a no-frills stay rather than added polish. Drinks are available in room, and staff are generally described as friendly and helpful.

Free on-site parking is available at the front of the hotel, though it works on a first-come, first-served basis and can fill up, and the car park itself isn't always well maintained. There's an electric vehicle charge point on site, and pets are welcome, making this a workable stop for those travelling with animals or simply after a low-cost night near Dumfries.

Didn't actually stay here but staff at reception were rude. Starbucks was shut due to technical issues, asked politely if I could use the toilet after travelling for over an hour to which I was told no. Then laughed as I was leaving! No need for the attitude.

The bath/shower was so dirty we dared not use it. No toilet brush. No plug sockets near beds. Only 1 available socket and that had to be shared with the kettle. Dark stains on floor near bin. Spiders webs on in corners where vacuum failed to reach. Dangerous hole in carpark. People sat in car with engine on right outside window when trying to sleep.

The car park, despite being shared with a Shell petrol station, a branch of Gregg's the bakers, and the towns ONLY Starbuck's is absolutely horrendous. There are Quarry holes, not potholes. And it's camera monitored. An absolute cheek. Travelodge only states on the website, it's first come first served, I'm not certain of the times, etc But the cave hole ridden thing will give you a fine, when you park before your check-in time. Which for ordinary people is before the standard 3pm. (I had people to visit and their kids require to be picked up from school) I'll add pictures of the car park you are funding and perhaps when they care might begoing to pay for: tomorrow I'm here on a duo trip, both working for Gregg's and had a family visit.
