Couples seeking a quiet break will find Kinneddar Cottage a straightforward base in rural Fife. The cottage is a converted part of the original coach house and stables at Nether Kinneddar Lodge, now standing alone as a complete property on the owner's grounds. Everything is on the ground floor: a combined living and dining space with a 40-inch TV and DVD player, a kitchen with electric oven and hob, one double bedroom, and a bathroom with bath and shower. Bed linen, towels, heating and Wi-Fi are provided, along with parking for one car.
The 2½-acre natural grounds are shared with the owner and another cottage on-site, offering sitting areas and garden furniture. An enclosed garden gives a more private outdoor space. The location opens up the wider region: Stirling, Perth and Edinburgh are all within reach for day trips, while Saline has a nine-hole golf course and several championship courses lie within an hour's drive. Knockhill Racing Circuit is just over 6 miles away. Walking and cycling in the Ochil and Cleish Hills are nearby, as is fishing on local lochs and Loch Leven nature reserve. The sloping banks in the grounds mean some areas may be less accessible. No smoking is permitted indoors.

Beautiful place to stay, in the deep countryside around Culross and Dunfermline

Very comfortable and quiet cottage just outside the village of Saline. Lounge, bedroom,.bathroom and kitchen area. Short 5 mile drive to Dunfermline where you can park your car for free at the railway station and hop on a train to explore Edinburgh. Stirling and Alloa are also in short driving distance. You can also explore the coast in and around Kirkcaldy, so a car is really recommended . The cottage really is in a quiet location and has a large garden and a small pond where you can sit on one of the benches and unwind. We also had a resident red squirrel that often turned up . It was a really pleasant place to stay.

Stayed here for 5 nights. Cozy, comfortable and quiet. Good break for us. Need a car to get around though and many towns within 1 hour drive.
