The Lookout

East Suffolk's quiet villages sit within easy reach of Lowestoft and the coast, yet feel entirely removed from either. The Lookout is a converted stable on the edge of this landscape—a single bedroom, single bathroom property designed for two people who want the whole place to themselves. Ground-floor accommodation means everything is on one level: an open-plan living and dining space with patio doors onto a garden, a kitchen with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, and fridge, and a bedroom with a kingsize bed. The shower room has a cubicle and heated towel rail.

What makes it distinct is the setting. Large windows frame views across open fields where wildlife—deer, birds, rabbits—regularly appear. There's a private hot tub for two in the front garden, with initial fuel provided; you pay £10 per bag for any extra. Underfloor heating and an air source heat pump keep the place warm. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. The Mardle Cafe is nearby for a coffee without cooking. No smoking is permitted inside.
