About Haven Hopton Holiday Village
Direct access to a sandy beach is the standout feature at Haven Hopton Holiday Village, a coastal holiday park just outside Great Yarmouth in Norfolk. The caravan accommodation is kept clean and well looked after, giving families a comfortable base for a seaside break without the need to travel far for entertainment or facilities.
On site there's an indoor swimming pool, arcades and organised entertainment covering a range of ages, along with a restaurant and breakfast option for those who'd rather not cook. A Wetherspoons pub on the park offers reasonably priced food and drink, and staff are on hand around the clock at 24 hour reception. Free on-site parking and a laundry service add to the practical side of things.
Beyond the park there's a golf course nearby, fishing, watersports and walking or cycling routes to explore, plus further pubs and restaurants within easy reach. It's a straightforward, well-equipped option for a coastal holiday, with the beach itself the main draw right on the doorstep.

What guests say
I paid well over £1,000 for this holiday and, unfortunately, it's been one disappointment after another. Before arriving, I made it very clear that my young son is autistic and has significant additional needs. I requested a quiet location away from busy areas and specifically asked not to be given a caravan with wraparound decking because it presents a safety risk for him. Despite these requests, we were placed right next to a playground and given a caravan with wraparound decking – the exact opposite of what had been requested. My son cannot regulate himself and being opposite a park means he is constantly trying to escape the caravan to get to it. These weren't luxury requests or personal preferences; they were reasonable safety requests made because of my disabled child. As someone who is also autistic and has ADHD, I find it extremely difficult to go to reception and repeatedly explain problems face to face, so I submitted a complaint instead. I was then told it could take up to 21 working days to receive a response, despite only being here for a six-night holiday. That doesn't help resolve any issues while you're actually on holiday. For the amount of money we paid, I expected Haven to take accessibility and disability-related requests far more seriously. I feel completely let down and disappointed that our needs were ignored. This is day 1 but I think we will most probably leave early due to safety issues that could easily have been avoided. I hope Haven will contact me to discuss this further and explain how this happened, because families with disabled children deserve to feel that their safety concerns are listened to and respected.

Views are incredible first and foremost. Caravan on first entry was clean and smelt fresh. Our little one loved how close our caravan was to the play park as well as the beach which was about a two minute walk. Haven has a very relaxing feel to it especially in terms of the entertainment and activities, our daughter spent a bit of time in the entertainment venue and the staff there were friendly and nice to her, which was fantastic! We all loved swimming and appreciate the limit on how many people at once are allowed in the pool which meant we had a wonderful time in there. The White Clover restaurant is incredibly tasty with very reasonable prices. Arcades and soft play were visited every day. We went outside the resort a couple of times but felt nice coming back to the caravan in the evening after a nice day and plenty to do around haven, including other arcades and entertainment bits. Only downside is we had to come home and back to normality again, we're already looking at booking again and taking more of the family with us. Thank you very much Haven for a wonderful holiday.

Wow! What an amazing holiday park! We stayed here for 7 nights and loved it. The Wetherspoons pub was brilliant with outdoor seating and the food arrived very quickly. Our silver caravan was clean and spacious and the location was fantastic with it being minutes away from Great Yarmouth and next to Hopton Beach. We will be definitely returning!

As much as I enjoyed my stay, I did experience some negatives that did affect my stay. It is a very lovely place for a little break but I don’t think I’d stay again. I would recommend if you have little ones! Cons: • When we arrived, we got told the caravan was ready, when we arrived it hasn’t been cleaned at all and there still items left over by previous people. •We had to wait around 2.5 hours for the caravan to be ready but we were given some coupons to make up for it as an apology. •I was looking around the van when we finally got in and when I looked in a drawer with the hospitality hair dryer and I noticed a dead tick next to the hairdryer and it threw me off from using any other items in the caravan. (I added a photo I took and circled around the tick) •On my first night I noticed on the bedding there was dried blood on the sheets which was not mine. Pros: •The beach was very accessible and very beautiful. •The arcade had a wide range of games so that was very fun. •Staff were very kind and helpful towards us and answered our questions to their best ability. •Food was good and a reasonable price.
