About Blossom Guest House
Blossom Guest House occupies a modest townhouse building on Minto Street, one of the smaller stays in Edinburgh with just eight rooms. That compact scale gives it a more personal feel than the city's larger hotels, while still offering a lift for those who'd rather skip the stairs.
Rooms come with air conditioning, free WiFi and drinks provided, and breakfast is served on site to set guests up for the day. There's a bar for an evening drink, a garden to sit out in when the weather allows, and luggage storage for those arriving before check-in or leaving after check-out. Free on-site parking is a genuine bonus in a city where street parking is often difficult and costly.
The surrounding area has plenty of pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby, making it easy to head out for a meal or a night out without travelling far. With transport links close by, the guest house also works well as a base for exploring Edinburgh's wider cultural attractions.

Room was small but clean and in good repair, location was easy to access from the centre but far enough away to be peaceful. Staff were efficient and welcoming.

Photos and the portal that my travel agent booked through mentioned/showed their being breakfast included and being served between 8-9:30 which wasn’t the case. When we went down to ask where breakfast was served the owner said they don’t do breakfast. They charge per person not just per room which would make sense if breakfast was included but it was not. Not sure when or why the change was made but when you are expecting breakfast to be included in the price it is rather disappointing. The room was small but we didn’t spend much time in it. There was an EU plug in the room at the place that was most convenient to plug in hair tools so I would bring a universal adapter. It is right on the main road with lots of bus routes into the heart of town & just about a 20 minute walk to old town which was nice, also very close to many food options.

The host is just lovely and gracious. The room and bathroom are very small but they certainly don’t hide that fact on their website. As a solo traveler, it was perfect. Warm, cosy and quiet. Buses 100m from the front door enabled easy transport. I walked pretty much every day to the Royal Mile and Princess St. 15 minutes and pleasant walk. Great location, great people and really comfortable rooms. Stairs will be a problem if you have lower body issues.

We stayed here 3 nights. Our large room was on the first floor and very clean. The bathroom was a bit small, but we managed just fine. Our host was very pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast was a very nice assortment of cereal, fruit, yogurt, cheese and bread. It's right on the bus route which made it easy to get to city center. We would stay at Blossom House again.
