Sherwood guest house is the perfect place to stay when visiting Edinburgh! It’s super close to the city centre with good public transport connections. The guesthouse is super lovely and the rooms are perfect for a city trip. Everything is clean and thoughtfully furnished. The highlight is the owner/hostess Vivienne. Super nice, accommodating and knowledgeable about Edinburgh!

What a wonderful stay. All of the great reviews we read while researching were absolutely spot on. Vivienne is the best host and the Guesthouse is a beautiful place located close to all the sites we wanted to visit. We could walk to almost everywhere and the bus stopped right outside the door if we needed . Our room and ensuite were perfect, breakfast was served daily with fresh fruit, fresh baked goods and delicious choices. There is a book in your room filled with lots of information like great restaurants, things to see, how the busses work and just about anything else you need to know. We so appreciated all of her thoughtful suggestions and being available whenever we needed anything. Thank you Vivienne for helping me to relax after a couple of hectic weeks of travel. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Edinburgh.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights on our honeymoon road trip. This was a wonderful decision! Vivienne is a wonderful host, a very warm person and made us feel right at home. The breakfast and the room were quality. The location was ideal - we woke up in the morning and simply walked all over Edinburgh each day, coming back when we were tired, and went out again at night. Would highly highly recommend Sherwood Guest House to any traveler
