About ibis Styles Edinburgh Centre St Andrew Square

Breakfast at ibis Styles Edinburgh Centre St Andrew Square runs to a proper spread, with haggis among the options alongside the usual cooked and continental choices, and there's a bar on site for a drink later in the day. It's a good starting point for the daily itinerary, given the hotel's position right on St Andrew Square in the centre of Edinburgh.

The 103 rooms are compact but well kept, with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and showers that hold up well under scrutiny. Family rooms and accessible rooms are available, and practical extras include a lift, laundry service, luggage storage and drinks available in the room. There's no parking on site, so this suits guests arriving by train or on foot rather than by car. Staff are consistently described as helpful and quick to sort out any requests.

Outside the door, St Andrew Square puts guests within easy walking distance of the city's main attractions and public transport links, with pubs, restaurants and other eateries close by. A golf course and entertainment venues are also nearby, and pets are welcome for those travelling with an animal in tow.

We had a great 3-night stay here. The hotel is very clean; the breakfast is great; and the location is brilliant--a short walk to Edinburgh Waverly rail station and just about everything New Town has to offer. But what made our stay exceptional was the Reception staff. I left a piece of luggage in a taxi. The driver called the hotel, and the staff were phenomenal at connecting us with the driver and getting my luggage back. (It took repeated calls through repeated staff shifts. Every staff member I spoke with was thoroughly familiar with my situation.) The only downside of the Ibis is that, like all Accor hotels, the rooms are miniscule. We had to take turns getting dressed! But we expected that and dealt with it in good humor.

Excellent location and wonderful staff! We had a great short stay here. The location is incredibly central and perfect for exploring the city. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We absolutely loved the lobby area, restaurant, and breakfast. The rooms were a bit small and didn't have a fridge, which wasn't a big issue for a short stay. Cleanliness could be slightly better, but overall, we highly recommend this hotel for its amazing hospitality and vibe!

Had a lovely 2 night stay at this cute hotel which is fantastically well located. The decor is really warm, welcoming and original, the rooms are very well thought out to make good use of the space available. Most importantly, I slept like a baby! But the most important thing to me is the staff who were extremely warm and welcoming with good tips for visiting locally. Oh and the breakfast spread is great! I asked if they had Marmite, and they literally went out and bought some for the next breakfast. Now that is service! 🙏

The staff is amazing and very helpful especially Siad at breakfast. Love the automatic cab hailing service at the registration desk. The breakfast is a full euro- American fare, awesome. The location is great, 2 blocks to the train station. Quiet rooms. The only bad items is the small elevator and rooms. Tiny shower as well. I would stay again.
